Maurice Asielue - Okapi Solutions

As a UK-qualified lawyer and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) Maurice brings substantial experience of interpreting, applying and providing training on the Data Protection Act, GDPR compliance, Freedom of Information Act, and Environmental Information Regulations.

Previously a Senior Manager in the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, Maurice produced several landmark information rights decisions including: Sugar v. BBC & ICO [2009] UKHL 9; and [2012] UKSC 4 where the Supreme Court upheld his original decision on behalf of the ICO for which he received personal recognition and praise from the Information Tribunal.
